Thanks guys, Do any of you know about any tournaments where people without boats(me) could fish out of the back of a boat? Also, im looking for a 14- 16 foot jon boat to mod and make into a kind of mini bass boat, just wondering if anyone could help me there

Thanks guys, Do any of you know about any tournaments where people without boats(me) could fish out of the back of a boat? Also, I'm looking for a 14- 16 foot jon boat to mod and make into a kind of mini bass boat, just wondering if anyone could help me there Welcome to the forum. This forum can be a valuable resource to gaining knowledge of bass fishing. Another forum you may want to check out is www.bassresource.com for tips on about any question you may have. First thing you need to do is talk this over with your parents and get their feelings. There are several local trails that you could maybe find a backseat, but we as fisherman know the risks on the water and may not be willing to accept the risk or liability of having a 13 year old in the back of the boat. Plus your parents may have a major problem letting their son go out at daylight for 8 hours with someone they don't know. There is a youth organization that is part of BASS that you can read about at www.gabassfed.org/index.shtml Another way would be to contact the State Youth Director at Ronnie White 296 Hwy 142 east Covington, Ga. 30014 Cell 678-230-6543 Home 770-787-6037 email - whit954@bellsouth.net Call Ronnie and see if there are any youth clubs in this area. Also, check out the tournament section for dates and locations of events on Allatoona. Go to the weigh in and watch and listen and ask questions. Most of us as fisherman will talk with you and give you tips as a young angler, before we'll even tell the same info to our friends. Another route would be to book a guide trip for a day on the lake. Our own Mike Bucca (www.tritonmike.com) would be a good one for a day on Allatoona.

If you want proof just ask Brad Rutherford aka The lakehartwellpro,, Brad started out fishing the junior clubs and now fishes on the Young Harris college Team and has some Co- Angler BFL top results and a win in his resume,,, Plus he was just featured in this month GON Magazine on fishing swimbaits at Lake Chatuge
