On the water boat slip??

Guys, Any of you have a hookup or can reccomend a on the water boat slip WITHOUT a one year contract?? I want to rent a slip for a few months if the ramps become unusable. PM me or post here if you have any info.

I dont know of a boat slip. How about those new ramps that they put in on the back side of Glade Marina a couple years ago? Are they listed in that list of ramps that we saw and are they deep ramps? I'm thinking that they are deep and the dock beside them is long enopugh to stay in deeper water all year as well.

I have dry storage at Glade Marina.... The three new ramps are already closed... They have the old single ramp between e and f docks still open today with a water level of 825 ft..at 820 they will close the last ramp....the lake should drop to 822 by Oct 19 according to the marina folks..

Guys, The longest ramp on the lake is the middle ramp at blockhouse. It's at 812ft elevation.

Click on this link and scroll down for the elevations. I say you need 5 feet (prolly more) to launch a boat. So at 817ft it's borderline useable (thats a guess??). Thats approximately 23ft low......

Is it reasonable to think that someone with 4wd and a 20ft boat will be able to launch a boat at blockhouse with the water level at 25 to 30 ft below FP?

At Caters lake the Corp barricaded the entrance to the ramps once the lake reached a level which was predetermined to be an unsafe level to launch a boat. I have an off road vehicle also but I don't know if they will let us give it a try at Allatoona.

ricky, Since I have never seen the lake as low as they are going to lower it I have no idea on how to answer your question. I just got an email from Victoria and they don't rent out for the winter season only. Just a FYI..

I have launched at the blockhouse when the water was below the concrete ramp. It was many years ago and the boat was only about half of what I pull now. It was a 17 foot Tracker. I only remember them closing the short lane on the right as you look at the ramps from the parking lot. A week or so ago Mike posted a pic of a ramp with the piles of debris that is created from people starting their motors and then reving them up on the ramp. That might be the case now because it was back in the late 80s or early 90s when that launch happened.
