We bought a boat 1996 pro sport with 200 mercury. when we bought the boat it had about a quarter of a tank of fuel. it ran fine on the test drive no miss no bogging down nothing. after we filled up and ran a full tank through it it will bogg down sometimes when you go to take off. if you let out of it and get back on it sometimes it will go and sometimes it will take it a couple of times the boat wat up for 4 or 5 months before we bought it. I was thinking with only a quarter of tank maybe condensation built up and with the driving it finally sucked up the water that has seperated from sitting, or maybe the carburators need to be cleaned. the guy we bought it from said he has always used stabil in the boat but that is just what he said. Thanks for the help i really appreciate it.

Try running some sea foam in it. The bad gas could have fouled the plugs out. The staybal can make a huge difference.

sounds like your fuel filter is dirty. There should be a fuel cartridge or screw on filter on the right hand side of the motor (normally) looking forward. Depending on the year model it normally looks like a small oil filter. Those should be changed regularly (at least once a year if it is the only filter on the engine). I also have a micron 10 filter on my boat that helps catch the moisture that is usually a result of the E85 fuels. Worse case scenario, syphon all of the gas out of the tank and start fresh with stabile (1 ounce for every 10 gal of gas) and 93 octane fuel should fix that problem (along with a plug change as suggested already).
