The Big Shanty Bassmasters fished their Inaugural Tournament this past Saturday after reorganizing and reforming the club. Felt good to get back on the water with some of the old group and some new faces as well. Don't know about you guys but this year Allatoona seems to be clearer then normal to me. Anyway We had a total of 9 Boaters and paid 2 place on the Boater Side and 4 Co Angler's and pd 1 Place on the Co Anglers side. Scott Bates came in 1st on the Boater side with a limit of fish at just over the 10Lb mark- Scott reported his fish came off topwater bite to start and then culled up with a Swimbait. Yours truly came in 2nd ( we wont bother with the weight, lets just say Scott put a whopping on us) but I jumped from point to Point with a medium diver crankbait and shaky head worm. Stefan Delay won on the Co Angler side and report just about the same Shaky head worms on points.
Scott leads for now in our AOY race and Im hot on his heels ( till next month lol)

Our Next Meeting is Oct 3rd. We meet the first Monday of the month at Provinos restaurant Off Barrett Parkway in front of Towne Center Mall. Meetings start about 7 and usually last about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
