this is the charger that I have been looking at, anyone know about it? I go out once/twice a week, so I think this would suit my needs. Just looking for pros/cons on this unit. Thanks in advance.

Jeff, My only concern with that charger is the 4amps per bank. If you use your boat hard one day and charget it overnite and want to go out the next day you probably won't be at full charge on your batteries for that second day. Just a FYI: I use the 3 banks with 10amps per bank. I will also say that if you buy a Dual Pro it will be the last charger you'll ever buy. They pretty much warranty the unit for the life of the unit. I have sent in chargers years over the warranty and they have replaced it and done it very very swiftly like 2 days swift. They are a shining example of superb customer service!

Jeff, I have 1 deep cycle marine battery that is a year old that I have kept in my garage on a battery tender that I have tried to give away on the board with no takers.
It might be helpful to have a third in the rotation-if you want it, it is yours.
I also have 2 sealed cell deep cycle batteries used in electric wheel chairs that I think would be great boat batteries but I have not fully checked that out. I know they are airline flight certified.
When I bought my boat it had brand new batteries so I just don't need the extras but I have kept them on the battery tender.

I agree with Mike, Always go with at least 10 amps per bank. Dual Pro will treat ya right, they made a used charger I bought good!!!!
