Anthony, I friend of mine has trouble when he has been fishing and starts up to move, before the boat gets on plane it will die and he will have to pump the bulb. After doing that it will run fine until he sets down and it sits for a while, then it will do it again. All the fuel lines and bulb have been replaced. He was wanting to put in an inline pump at the tank to prime the fuel line before he starts the engine. I did not want him to starve the engine and possibly burn a piston. The pump he bought will pump 4-7 psi but I do not know what volume it will pump. Any ideas?

OK Anthony, could you tell what your advise was. For future reference. Possible air leak?

Anthony's advise was to put a check valve in the fuel line at the tank to keep the fuel from draining out of the hose back into the tank

It is called a anti siphon valve.
