Last night my aerator started making a screaching sound for a second and then quieted down. When I got to the next hole.. I turned it on and noticed that water was merely trickling into my livewell rather that pouring in. Do I need to replace my aerator or could it be not getting enough juice from the battery to pump? I just had it replaced last spring because I found a leak. Seems like they would last longer that one season. Thanks.

IF ITS ONE YOU CAN TAKE APART, SEE IF BY CHANCE YOU SUCKED SOME TRASH IN FROM THE OUTSIDE.

I agree, sounds like trash in the intake.

Don't mean to take over the thread.. but both my live well aerator and my bait box aerator will not come on! Any of you guys midget contortionists? No way I can get to those pumps.

Guys, Thanks for the info. Turns out when I took it apart it had sucked up a robo worm. I ended up having to replace it because the damage had already been done.

Bill, I had to replace both pumps and one of the switches this year. I had my 15 yr old switch them out. He fit better than I did.
