Hey guys anyone know what to do about the new gas(10% ethanol)? My motor is coughing really bad at an idle and some times goes dead when I hit the throttle. Thought it was a fouled spark plug at first, when I changed them same problem . The sea foam straitened it out, but I don't want to add this every time I fill up do I? Is the ethanol the problem? I have filled up from three different stations so I don't think I'm having a water+gas problem, but you never know. Anyone have any suggestions or is anyone adding an additive to correct this problem? Thanks D-RAY

Stay away from the SEA FOAM !!!! and use RING FREE from YAMAHA it by far is a more superior product and that should take care of your problem. Sea foam will cause your seals to swell up over time and will cost you more money.

Does this need to be added to every tank of gas?

Anthony, is the ring free something you can just run through your normal gas cycle or does it need to be used on a complete decarb session?

If you have never used it (RING FREE)before then you need to do a shock treatment. After that then you do a maintainence treatment in which you add a little to every time you put gas in the tank. It has instructions on the back of the bottle. Bay Marine has it on the shelf and tell them I sent you in there to get it.
