I've broken the flywheel on my outboard (guess I was too anxious to get started Friday and pulled the cord too hard). I opened the case and there are white plastic pieces that appear to be floating out of place. Can anyone recommend a mechanic near Marietta?

Found out how I broke the flywheel. Fishing line in lower end unit broke seal and the lower end had seized up - she's dead. How do I protect from running through fishing line and this happending again?

The only real way is to 1) Visually check around the prop when you come off the lake to see if there is any line & 2) remove the prop every so often (Say every 3 mths or so depending on your use) and check for line around the shaft.
