I got out with my friend this weekend to my old stomping ground, A little private 5 acre lake. The day could not have been any better. I caught them on everything I threw: Spinnerbait, crankbait, and the texas rig worm. I caught 12 fish with the biggest going 7.2lbs. before I had to leave to watch college football. My buddy caught 3 . This fish had a huge head and a little body. It came on the ol' monster worm texas rigged.

you might want to suggest to the owner to stock some small bream or make some rock piles around the shallows for crayfish.

There is not enough to eat. Those fish could be real slobs with some more food to eat. Send in the bluegill or take some bass home!

Yeah guys it was a skinny, skinny fish . I think that the small bass are are eating all the food. Out of all the fish I caught this was the only one over 1 1/2 pounds. There are plenty of bluegill in the lake ( I fish for them too with my daughter) I just think there are too many darn buck bass . Unfortunately, I am the only one who fishes it and I only fish it a couple times a year and I do keep quite a few of the small ones (just not enough, obviously ).
