Water temp is in the upper 60's and water level is 18ft low.
Most of my fishing this week was Trophy hunting so the numbers weren't that great but the quality is getting there. I am starting to see the really big fish getting active in the form of followers. THursday we saw a nice 4-5lb spot and another big fish that had a nice wake LOL and on Friday I saw a easy 6-7lb Largemouth (although nowhere even close to being as big as the Sept fish I got). Most of my bites are in the afternoon part of the day. Not much going on early on that I can find (big fish wise). I remember when we got to this point last year temperature wise and it was a mass explosion of some very nice fish being caught. It's only a matter of time. I'm working the mainlake and inside the creek arms. It really varies from day to day.. The shad are making their way into the creeks and you have some fish in the creeks but you also have some out in the mainlake as well. There is really no rhyme and reason for this. Be ready the big fish are on the prowl. It's only a matter of time from here on out. The toads are coming!
