Hi all!! I am from Upper east TN and fish up here quite a bit on Cherokee, Boone, South Holston, and Douglas lakes. The reason for my joining this forum is I thought I might fish Allatoona some this Spring/Summer when I come down to visit my In-Laws. They live in Bridge Mill Sub just off Sixes Rd. I was wondering where the best and closest place to launch is from there in these times of low water and where I need to stay away from. Like I said I have never been on this lake and any help would be welcomed.

Welcome-i live one exit from Sixes road and the closest ramp i can think of where it is free to launch and the lake level will not be a problem is the Bartow-Gatewood ramp. Send me a PM and i would be glad to give you directions. Or you can check my profile and email me-i would be glad to send you directions that way-Travel Safe

This link is found at the bottom of the forum under: LAKE ALLATOONA INFORMATION / Lake Allatoona Boat Ramps & Marina Map: maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=115899061674650466121.00045277935d927eaab57You will find Sixes Rd in the upper center portion of the map and you will see all of the ramps on the lake with zoom in abilities. The closest to Bridge Mill would be Little River on Belles Ferry Rd (Hwy 205) and then Victoria Landing off of Belles Ferry. By that time of the year most if not all of the ramps will be usable with no low water problems. Most of the ramps have a $3 -$4 daily charge and many accept yearly COE passes. Hope this helps.
