Water Clarity: Clear
Water Temps 44
I got out today with a client from Dallas/Ft Worth area visiting his newest grandbaby that was just recently born. When I first met Wayne I thought I was looking at the BIG SHOW from WWE. He's a 7foot tall Texan (no LIE!!) and his waist came up to my shoulders almost and when he walked through the double doors at McDonalds he had to duck and he wears size 17 shoes. Hey I was curious so I asked his show size and asked if he had to kill a whole cow to make them shoes. I didn't make that comment to him until after he stopped laughing at me after I told him we would be fishing with corks and 11ft fairy wands using dental floss for fishing line all day
LOL.
Wayne and I had a great day and he was great company dispite the rainy conditions we endured. We easily whacked over 15 fish on the Float N Fly using the Lester Flies exclusively found at Natures Tackle Box ;D. Wayne was a trooper throughout the all day downpour. We spent the vast majority of our time up the creeks taking advantage of the tall bluffs to atleast keep the weather conditions bearable for us. The key for us was the deeper bluff points that were wind sheared and if it had some wood on it it was even sweeter. We varied our leader lenghts throughout the day. Wayne kept his fairly shallow at 7 to 8ft and I put mine at roughly 12 foot. Wayne easily kicked my butt with the shorter leader and picked up the float and fly technique very quickly. Thanks Wayne for the trip. It was good to catch up on my old haunts when I lived in Texas.

Next up BLUE RIDGE with the wrecking crew!!
