At the risk of exposing my vast mechanical knowledge please help me with a water separator question.
I have one that came installed on my boat. It was changed by a shop when I had other work done on the boat about a year ago.
Guess its time for a change as I now fish at least once a week minimum and often more.
Can I change this by buying one and taking the old one off and screwing the new one on.
$800 later I finally got the engine to idle most of the time and I don't like messing with the gas flow.
Anthony mentioned the Yamaha filter and I guess it will fit my system.
Thanks

I assume you have the Yamaha 10 micron filter,, (looks like an oil filter) If you can change a oil filter on a car, then you can changes this, its that simple. Spin off,,put some oil on the new gasket, spin on and once it makes contact give it about 1/4 to 1/2 turn more, and then pump up your primer bulb.

If it is not a YAMAHA 10 Micron DO NOT WASTE your time or money on another filter....

No 2 different sizes 1) is for 115hp and smaller 2) is larger for the larger motors. If you have a larger filter you should be able to use your existing setup.
