7-18-2009, The "Lure diver" and I spent the better part of a near perfect day on Guntersville, weather and fishing were great! Between Schoolies and pad fish you couldn't ask for a better day. The big fish came on a Gambler ribbon tail in "Mulberry" rigged Texas. A number of other fish did as well. Robert thumped some solid fish on the Ribbit and we both caught schoolies with Zara Spooks and Pearl White Super Flukes (bunches of them!). The rest came on a mix of the C-rigged GrandBass Rattlesnake and Yum Ribbon tails in Green Pumpkin purple! Don't ask me what she weighed since we couldn't find Robert's Scale and I left mine in my boat. The funny part is that she had blood dripping from her tail and I pulled her out 3-4' water in the drilla and pads.

Gotta love the ribbon tail bite! Hate that it isn't more consistent around here... Good fish!

Bob You will be subjected to psychological trauma by fishing Guntersville. You will be fish traumatizing when you get back to Allatoona world. See you at the next ABA. Tom

porko, where at guntersville do you go to? that lake is huge or river whatever you want to call it. Most of the fish we caught this past Sunday were south of the BT Comer Bridge and north of the Barge house along the shallow side edge of the visible grass and pads (away from the channel). Most of the schoolies were caught along the channel side of the grass along the main river channel in the same area. We fished the deep cut that slices the river bend across from the Riverside grocery cove without as much success this time too.
