hey guys... taking my boat out on lake Allatoona tomorrow for the first time fishing on this lake. I live south of the lake and was hoping you all could give me some advice on where i should put my boat in and general ideas on fishing the lake. Is the fishing better on the north end or south? any help would be appreciated... thanks guys!

This time of year its tough all over. Living south there are a number of options for where to put in but your best bet is at the Blockhouse Ramp.
Think deep when looking for fish.

blockhouse probably would be crazy though too.. since everyone goes there.. you can get off 75n at glade road turn right at light. (and have 2 options for 2 other ramps that aren't used as much.. or i would say possibly no line for ramp..) follow rd back about 1 mile...there will be 2 gas stations on left as your driving back.. come to stop sign option 1 turn left and that will be tanyard creek about 3/4 mile on right. option 2 go thru stop about another mile and campgrounds and ramp will be on right as soon as you past a small gas station on right road will go down hill.. before bridge turn right clarks creek area.. hope this helps and good luck!!!

I live South, Gaults is always a good option.
This time of the year it is best to take advantage of the lovely Summer evenings and fish into the night. No jet fleas or other assorted yahoo's on the lake, this is what I do.
Shakeyheads, Jigs and spinnerbaits on points and bluffs work well.
