Yesterday I was getting ready for this weekend and noticed that my steering is acting funny, you turn the wheel to the right and its fine but when you go to the left,it's like there is a half of a turn of the wheel before it grabs,(like its slipping)still turns but you half to turn it twice as far as you do the other side, could it be air in the lines(don't no how it got in there)?Do I need to re-charge the system?Need some advice, don't like this,as it don't feel real safe don't want to be flying across the lake and not be able to steer it!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks guys!!

Check the fluid level first and top off if needed,, Could be air in the line, the helm or the tubes in the back.

Any fluid will work as long as it meets the MIL 5606 rating, you can use ATF fluid if you have to,I run it in the last boat I had with not any problems!

If you drain all the fluid out of it,it will take around a half to one Qt depending how much fluid comes out!Just be sure to have somebody to help you for the bleeding process,To bleed the left, turn the wheel all the way to the left then open the left bleeder valve, then have some hold the cylinder with there hand, with the valve still open turn you wheel to the right, untill nothing but pure fluid comes out,(I turned mine a good ways before all the air came out)then while still turning the wheel-close the valve, repeat for the right side and you'll be charged up and ready to go,!!!!!keep the fill hole full the whole time,or you'll get more air in the lines!!!!But thats all there is to it,if you need me to call me and I'll be more than happy to lend you a hand!!my # 404-660-7804,I get off at 4:00 and will be home around 5:00.Good luck and don't hesitate to call me!!!
