Sure wish dad and I could show up for at least one. Have a real nice saw, and PLENTY of experience felling trees. And a real slow boat to boot (and two more dead ones being restored - and a canoe) Are we doing this next year as well? I am still trying to talk him into the Christmas tree project as well, but we are too dang busy. Too busy even for me to fish.

Shadowfax and I will be riding in his boat, but I don't think there will be room for anymore in it. my chainsaw is cleaned, sharp, ready to go, and so is my big hammer

I'm glad Killian has a cleaned, sharp, ready to go, big hammer.
Sorry, but two guys plus saws in my boat is about all she can take. Much more weight and the bilge pump can't keep up.

watch out sf, I'd hate to drop that hammer on your toes > shouldn't have said that, now you'll wear your steel toe boots out, dangit.

That is the rough part fishinwidow. Lots of folks want to help, but I don't blame some for not wanting to haul oil, gas, and a chainsaw in their boat. It could make a mess in a nice boat, not to mention the beaching required. My boat is older, I don't mind the scratches, and it's aluminum, so beaching is no problem. Mine cleans easy plus we both have cases for our saws (I think).
Waitin' for Saturday!!!

fishinwidow we usually have more than enough room, just trying to be sure. If tilem (Cecil) brings his pontoon boat I know we will have room. Cecil if you don't bring it I'm willing to bet we will still have room for everyone. By my count there are only 30 trees left to cut so it should only take a couple of hours at the most to finish the project. Guys don't forget a knife for cutting the rope.
