I was looking at my Allatoona map last night planning a strategy for out tournament and noticed something interesting in the legend. It said that the white stripe on the ramp meant 20 foot of ramp left below the line. I don't remember ever seeing a line. Maybe I wasn't looking. Anyway, this might be a fairly easy but important way we could help out. At least we know most of the ramps are accessible at the 20 foot point.

Jeff, I would doubt the Corp would allow us to paint the lines as it would be a safety issue, therefore a liability issue to the Corp.

I saw for the first time one of the white stripes today. I drove to check out coopers branch and one of the lanes has it, though it is about 35 foot from the water LOL

Look closer Killian. I saw lines on both arms of Coopers this afternoon.

ya I did today. I guess yesterday I was only paying attention to the one ramp that was open, and ignored the closed one, I shouldn't be so biased....

I called the Corp of Engineers on my own behalf today. (No mention of AllatoonaBass.Com) to inquire about the safety lines on ramps, mentioning some are worn out and hard to see. The lady I spoke with says they have a contractor who takes care of the stripes. I said the ramps need attention. She said "Thank you." and hung up.
Oh well, I tried.

Drove past Payne this morning on the way to Gualts (Payne is now closed) and saw someone painting the stripes on the parking lot. Maybe they will paint the stripe on the ramp now that the lots are closed, there is no traffic and ramps are exposed.
