Got this email from the Corps as a notice to all anglers using the Coopers Branch ramp.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be extending the ramp (right side) at Cooper Branch the week of December 17 through December 21 weather permitting. We will try to keep the left ramp open. However, there may be some launching delays.
Please do not park in the lower parking area. We will need this area for trucks to turn around while we are doing the work. Park in the upper parking lot.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Mike, I read the post on GON about extensions. Wow! Very well said. I am new to bass boat fishing and fairly green at this. HaHa pun intended.
I appreciate your involvement and support of the officials that maintain both lakes. I believe you do it for many more reasons than your business. I personally lived on Lanier for many years at War Hill Park and my family were members of the lake association. You have probably fished under my dock. I found the COE sometimes frustrating, but it was better to work with them than to just gripe about them. That is my only negative comment for the day. HEW. Even as I was cutting two stinking feet off my new deck because the COE couldn't draw a straight line.
Now to my point: I appreciate this forum and the positive outlook of it's members. As a newbie to the sport, and to this forum I have been very impressed. Because of it I actually have caught some fish! Everyone is open and willing to share technique, improve the lake, and not just for our own selfish fishing needs. I look forward to being involved in future projects and getting to know the members.
Thanks

toplesshorse, Thanks for your kind words. You know I've always tried to stand up for what I believe even if it goes against the opinion of the majority. I certainly don't plan on winning the war but if I can open the eyes of a few people than it's worth fighting the battle to me. Thanks again for your kind post. It's posts like yours that makes it all worth the while.
