Guys, Remember when fishing in these colder climates to warm your engine up good before blast off. Keeping in mind the pistons are aluminum alloy and due to combustion are subject to warm up faster than the water cooled cast iron block causing piston scuffing, all they way up to down right seizing up. Hope this helps.

Thats not a bad idea on carb motors,,but really not recommended on Direct injected motors due to the way they oil at idle not in gear..if gonna warm up with these put them in gear and idle around a bit...Atleast that is my opinion and you guys know how that goes...

The DI's recirculate the oil back to the tank whether ideling or in gear, thus warming the oil in the tank for better flow at lower temps. After a couple false no oil alarms using a semisynthetic oil in winter, I switched to a full syn for winter. I liked it enough to stay with a full syn all year. Idleing in gear or out of gear will warm the engine, because the T-Stats will regulate water temp. Not trying to argue just stating what I know. I STILL warm my engine up good before blast off.JMHO
