I've got a 1995 40HP Force that will not fire. The engine cranked and ran fine yesterday (Saturday), but went to the lake this morning and it would not start. The starter is turning the engine over and it's getting plenty of gas. I checked and it doesnt seem to be getting any fire to the plugs. Any thoughts on what the problem may be or what should I check?

I know what you mean about the kill switch, been there done that, but that was one of the first things I checked and it was still connected. Any other thoughts?

try checking for loose wires at the switch, a blown fuse or see if there may be a wire that is loose or pinched at the engine, something that may be grounding things out.

Sounds like a stator went bad

Next is check any fuses that may be under the engine cowling if not then you need to start testing stator output voltages.

Anthony, the fuses are good so it seems to be a bad switch box or the stator. The Tech at Jasper Marine is going to check it for me tomorrow.
