Hello all, My wife and I moved to Acworth from Norcross in December. This is my first season on Allatoona and it is a lot different from Lanier. I am having to pretty much start from scratch. I am always looking for folks to share information with and even fish with. I have a boat and go out as often as I am able. Drop me a note and lets chat. Rick

Rick welcome to the forum. Yes Allatoona is a whole different creature than Lanier, at least from what I hear about Lanier as I have never fished it. The good thing is Allatoona is only 1/3 rd the size of Lanier so it won't take as long to learn your way around it. I think you will find a lot of good information here and more than just a few members that are willing to answer any questions, so feel free to ask.

Thanks all! I appreciate the warm welcome. So far I have been doing okay. The patterns are different here, and the fish don't like to eat what the Lanier bass seemed to love. Hope to chat with you all some more real soon! Rick

Rick Possibly the biggest difference is that there are no Bluebacks in Allatoona and they are illegal to be used there. Allatoona is a Shad lake so keep that in mind when choosing your lures. Also Allatoona was clear cut of trees during construction instead of the flooded timber that Lanier has.
