Just got back from Florida and I had a chance to fish the Stick marsh/Farm 13 for the first time. We caught around 25 bass with several pushing 6 lbs. Avg fish was close to 3 1/2 lbs. ON my way back I just had to take a pic of this offshore boat. Driving down the highway @ 70 and taking a pic wasn't easy.... ;D

That's home to me!! Stick Marsh/Farm 13 is a great impoundment, hopefully in the years to come the grass will grow back in it, that was stripped from the bottom by the hurrricanes in 2001. My father - in - law used to have a farm/feed store in Fellsmere and "The Stick" was my hunting grounds before it was flooded. Nice catches, you should also try Garcia's and Lake Blue Cypress when you are in that area.

Leapnlineman...you should have stayed put .... . Next trip down, I will be focusing on the marsh, Garcia and maybe a trip to the St. John's river as I've always wanted to fish there. RangerSteve...most of our fish came by casting traps, speed worms and 10" Ole monsters and Charlie's worms. There wasn't much visible structure we were casting to, but that part of the lake was FULL of wood just under the surface. I'm saving that Pinnacle and flippin' stick for Weiss. I'll be there in a few days. TEEEE.....That was my partner's BassCat and a fine one at that. I hauled my Ranger down there but only used it on Toho. If I had the $$$ to buy new, it would be a BassCat for sure. Brian

Toona, if your down that way at least once you really need to go out to Lake Blue Cypress. While it is better known for big crappie (speck's) it also has some good bass fishing, but most of all it is isolated and truly a beautiful lake. Joe and Jenne Middleton have been running a fish camp there for as long as I can remember and if you want to stay for a night or two they can provide modest accomedations. There website for info is: www.middletonsfishcamp.comHere's a few pic's of the lake: (click on image)

Great Pics Ray I can only imagine them BIG OLE BASS in the root systems of the cypress trees. Would love to pitch a Jig-X or Plastic Worm around them that would be my first chose and then start chunkin a Swimbait.
