Nice ride! It is also an expensive hobby, but a very satisfying one. It hurts a lot more than a hook when you have an oops! Be careful, keep the shiny up and watch for the other guy, they can't see you, Ride like you are invisible.

Yes, I ride occasionally.I have a 1998 Heritage that I bought new and have changed and modified quite a bit on it. I used to ride a lot was always going somewhere. Three and a half years ago I was living the high life riding with my friends going lots of places, had a well paying job a my heart said slow yo A$$ DOWN! I had a heart attack and my job went to Mexico. So I slowed down and I got old all of a sudden. I have about 35,000 miles on her.

Sorry to hear about your heart and job. 35,000 mile thats alot of riding has she had any major work done on her. Mine had 2200 miles and she was only $3500 so the price was right and the miles were great. i was impressed with the speed it actually had. Like i said i have only had a dirt bike and a peice of S@#T honda. When i rode this one i was happy. Im not going for speed but it is good to know that if i have to i can get out of the way. by any chance do you know what kind of pipes i can get that are loud but still have that harley rumble. i took out the hollow internal baffles but its still weak. i didnt really want them out but when they blew out and were sticking out an extra foot and rattling i figured it was time to take them out. Thanks David

I changed several things when I got her, pipes, bars, seat, carb, carb, cam, lights. I bought a set of Hooker with tuning cores and they stayed. The best performing pipe are regular drag pipes. Get the baffles with them and open them up a bit and most of all get the carb jetted right.Your stole that bike. I bet someone just got married or divorced! Sportys are hot bikes they are quick. I had a 72 iron head that I restored back in the late 80's. Get it dyno tuned and serviced you should be good to go. Change the oil on a regular schedule because Sportys have more shear factor because the crankcase and tranny share the same oil. These are some pictures of my bike, the black one, and the blue lowrider is my Bro Minnesota Mike. I built it for him. s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/Harleywizard_album/rides/?albumview=grid
